Why Do Mothers Make Fantastic Real Estate Agents?
In honor of Mother’s Day, I created a list of why moms make fantastic real estate agents. I began my career in real estate when my youngest started school all day and I quickly learned I already had skills needed in the industry from raising my kids. Here are why us mothers make excellent agents:
Strong Negotiators – Moms are used to advocating for what’s best for their families, which translates into fighting for the best deals for their clients. They also know how to strike a compromise with a toddler!
Excellent Multitaskers – Juggling school drop off and pickup along with activity schedules makes them skilled at managing multiple transactions and client needs at once.
Deeply Empathetic – Buying or selling a home is emotional—mothers understand this and provide comfort and confidence throughout the process.
Detail-Oriented – From checking Google classroom for multiple kids and classes daily to tracking contract deadlines, moms often have an eagle eye for details.
Natural Problem-Solvers – Whether it’s a lost soccer cleat or a tough inspection report, they stay calm and find solutions.
Community Knowledge – Moms often know the ins and outs of parks, neighborhoods, and family-friendly amenities—valuable insight for buyers!
