An interview with Stephanie Matamoros. I helped her and husband Michael sell their home of almost 30 years in Orange County and buy a home in Fallbrook at the same time.

What inspired you to make this move?

I lived in Orange County all my life. It was time for a change now that we’re retiring and North San Diego County is refreshing and welcoming.

How did Prop 19 factor into your decision?

Since we’re 55+, we were able to transfer the tax basis of our

Yorba Linda home we bought in 1996 to our new one so we are saving over $8,000 a year in property taxes. With how much equity we had in the sale of our home, it made our decision easy.

How did Tracy help you through the process?

Tracy was by our side every step of selling and buying. We couldn’t have done it without her. The BEST!! She had all the answers and recommendations and worked hard to make it smooth and easy.

What would you tell someone considering a similar move?

You only live once… take the step!
